Is there an automatic facebook & twitter poster?

Is there a wordpress plugin that automatically
posts your blog posts to:
- twitter
- facebook?


Can someone post the plugin link here?

I think it will help lots of people.

Facebook offers the RSS application in your account admin area that can be setup to feed your blog posts right onto your Facebook wall.

For Twitter I use TwitterFeed.com to tweet blog posts directly to my twitter.

Ping.fm will allow you to make status updates to all the major networks, including Twitter, Facebook, Myspace, Plurk, Pownce, LinkedIn, etc.

Ping.fm and Hello.txt both do that but I believe he was looking for a wordpress plugin. I don't know if you can integrate them with wordpress.

I think that there is but I don't believe it is a free one. I have heard of auto social poster and that is supposed to do Twitter. I am not sure of Facebook, but I will keep an eye out.

Twitter Poster plugin does the job. The features are

- It will post all new posts to your twitter account
- Automatically add friends related to the tags specified by the user
- Pings the Twitter feed to the ping list setup in your wordpress installation
- If you are following 2000 people but have less than 2000 followers, Twitter will stop you following new people. This plugin will remove old members and add new members until you reach the correct number of followers to allow you to follow more members

I don't recommend Twitter Poster. It's got two nasty 'spam' like features that you may find disturbing:

1t posts links in Twitter as tweets AND it puts links in YOUR posts. While there is an option to remove the first (I remember I checked it carefully, but still got tweets), there is NO option to remove them from your blog, and it is a dofollow link, too.

So, it is a nasty piece of spamware, which could get your blog/site a PR0 without you realizing it. And there is no way to select which links appear or where. And I was prepared to live with the tweet function, until I realized it put sponsored links in posts.

Stay AWAY from this plugin. WP have not yet seen fit to remove it from their site, but they really should, if they are consistent to their principles.

I have heard a lot of good things about ping.fm

I use twitterfeed to post my blog posts, and then I have the twitter app in facebook which posts all my twitter updates. So when I have a blog post it ends up on both.

When I linked them all, I found a great how to on google by typing in how to linkj twitter facebook. It's the first link. I would give it to you here but it won't let me due to post count.

I would be careful auto posting status updated to your Facebook account.

It is quick way to loose friends and make enemies.

Seriously, I can not count all the nastly responses I received to cluttering up the status feeds of my friends.

For Twitter, you can use Twitter Tools for Wordpress or a tool like TweetLater or HootSuite to schedule Tweets for the future.

I read on a few sites that using auto twitter scripts could get you suspended as it is considered spam. Also, there seems to be alot of 'my account got suspended because...' on Google.
So, using tweeterfeed, ping.fm, helio for auto twitter posts, is that considered against Twitter rules?

If you use Twaitter you can connect it to Ping which you can setup all of your social networks. You can use it to schedule status updates and it will update all of the social networks you activate in Ping.

It also depends on how much you are using it and how you are using it. If you are constantly spamming your business trying to sell people of course they are going to get upset and you will eventually get deleted.
The general rule all things in moderation and actually connecting with your intended audience then I see nothing wrong with trying to maximize your time. General rule I try to stick with is 2 business (tips with link, "plz check out link" ect.) 3 personal posts (quotes, goings on, current news, ect.) just a suggestion IMHO

As my site receives many fresh content daily i noticed the twitter followers decreased overtime as they kept receiving new tweets every hour. I was using twitterfeed and had to disable it. I don't want to decrease the articles that i receive and besides i noticed many tweets are ignored anyways.

So now i just have YouTube channel connected to twitter and is much better without the twitterfeed.

I like Socialite - Ping.FM is pretty good, but I prefer to use Socialite for the Twitter/Facebook/Myspace part and let Ping do the rest. I find it's more reliable, and I find I get better controls on the plugin side.

You need to be very careful when auto posting. If you do not do it the correct way it will be a quick downfall in your business before you even get started. You need a proven system in order to ensure that you don't go against their TOS and do it in a smart non salesy way in order for your offers to convert. All the best.

I have to say I agree that facebook needs to be approached with helpful real life info. If you want to post in facebook go to groups within your niche in facebook. Your responce rate is going to go through the roof that way.

Twitter is on a major crack down.... Several of the free tools have discontinued mass unfollowing. Twitter has been leaning on them for terms of use violations.

TweetBig has completely stopped working for me.... Anyone know what is going on with that?

For Automatic Facebook updates/posts, I use wordbooker.
Just 'seach plugins' in WP Admin.

Just make sure to set the settings, and actually disable auto post to facebook.

That way you can just 'tick' the box to publish to facebook, AFTER
editing/updating posts ... so you avoid the 'constant updating status' problems mentioned by John (Hocking) above.

Quick, useful and simple integration.

and you can also set workbooker to retrieve comments from facebook too!

1. How can I auto-post to facebook when I or a customer post an article on one of their websites (i.e. article posts on their site and simultaneously a link back to is posted to their facebook business fan page via an API)?

2. How can I point my facebook fan page to one or more RSS feeds so that those feed posts will post to my facebook fan page

Ping fm is great and I use it but you may want more flexibility, in as much as you may want certain blog posts on certain Twitter/FB accounts.

To achieve this you can not find an easier or better service (free) in my opinion than this one:

I know that I am a strange cat, but I prefer to customize what I post to each, according to the audience I have on each.

As a result, I don't want a real auto-submitter.

Instead, I use: Shareaholic - Share, Discover and Connect with the Best of the Web.

It is a FireFox plugin that I can click to post to Twitter, FaceBook, Reddit, StumbeUpon and much more...

When I create that post in my blog, I go to the page, and I hit the Shareaholic button to customize how I describe my tweet, post, etc. about my blog post.

Actually there are tonnes of portals, plugins and applications on the internet that can get this done. I have used many applications and also plugins to get this done. The problem with using plugins is that it additionally adds load on your blog installation hence if it can be done externally thats the best!

I am very impressed by the way RSS Graffiti gets this chore done easily and it does have an excellent interface to configure and automate multiple blogs on to even multiple fan pages!
