Social Media Automation ?!?

Is there any quality social media automation tools anyone recommends ?

Ultimately I would prefer a tool that, worked for multiple platforms, but I am not sure if that actually exists....

Like an all in one for the major players : Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, Linkedin....ect

I have seen many pros on twitter with posts every 15 minutes appart, so I know there are some tools for automation out there.

It is a huge pain, trying to post threads and content on every site in your network one at a time, so I was wondering if there were any tools to make this process a little simpler ?

Can anyone shed some light on the topic ?

    I used to use something that was 'slightly' automated.

    Had a WP blog that automatically posted to Twitter (Twitter plugin)..

    And I had something similar for posting to Facebook...

    But you're right, it does get pretty damn tedious after a while.

    What I ended up doing (and it's been a while, so I'm honestly not 100% positive)... Was using something called Posterous. (Posterous.com?)

    Ever heard of that? If I recall correctly you just create an account there, and then fill in your details for various social networking sites. FB, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.

    I could even post to my Wordpress blog from there... So I'd just send an email to my own personal 'posterous address' with all the info I wanted in my post - select the networks I wanted it posted to - and send the message.

    That being said, I don't think auto-posting to FB is a good idea anymore. Heard something about 'FB not liking that' or some damn thing. Lol.

      Thanks, I will check out Posterous.

      I agree, I could imagine Facebook being difficult, I notice they have been refining a lot lately, almost locking down. For example, any friend invitations that I send out now that I am at the 1k mark is basically considered spam, so I can only accept invitations now.

      Regardless, RSS and such feeds are a little different. Even if I could get twitter posts and my blog posts in one action I would be pretty excited lol.

    Just set up your other accounts here. The next time you post to Posterous, we will instantly autopost everywhere else.
    Facebook profile newsfeeds will be updated each time you post to notify your friends. You can also autopost photos to your photo album.
    Twitter messages will use the title of your post up to 130 characters, and then append a Posterous shortened url (post.ly).
