Which is best option to get high quality traffic on our website, SMO or SEO?

In my opinion both are equal, under SEO we can do regularly link building, content updating,directory submission and PPC.
Coming to SMO we regularly update the page of facebook,Tweeter and linked In

Both SEO and SMO are important.In seo we uses daily submittion of directory,bookmarking,article submittion,blog commenting etc.But in SMO we use the social media sites like facebook,linkedin,tweeter etc...

SMO is Social Media Optimization and SEO is Search Engine Optimization.

SEO will help for long term traffic and SMO is also used but for Short term. If your website updated daily with new things then SMO is also good for you to get good traffic to your website.

SEO and SMO process have its own utility in website optimization. SEO will provide rank to the website and SMO provides traffic. If both process carried out in same manner then a website will get fast top 10 ranks in search engine than any other normal optimized website.

It depends on what you're selling, what you're trying to achieve. The best way to get high quality traffic is to have high quality content; from there it doesn't matter so much how and where you share it, as long as you do.

For the most part I think SEO is still a better deal, because people share the best of their search results on social media. SMO can be frustrating and ineffective if you don't know exactly what you're doing.

Any solid SEO campaign will almost certainly have social media included as they go hand in hand.

But social media optimization itself will be focusing on building your business a follower base and interacting with your fans.

If you take out SEO services only then what you might find is that the company utilizes social media sites but only for backlinks and social signals and not for building you a fan base.

SMO can prove to be much quicker for increasing traffic

I think its depend of your niche - like relationship can be better on smo and financial i think can be better on seo. It not all time, but i think most of time.

I master the SEO part. Social media to me is more for building relationship with people, not driving direct traffic. It's a community growing tool.

What I do to get traffic and make money is find under the radar keywords and products, then create niche sites (micro blogs). It works wonders. I've been doing it for more than a decade now -- mostly in the health industry.

I use FB and TW to post some content, but it's not a major part of my business.

I'd love to hear from you, like what niche you run with, and what's your experience with marketing online so far... are you also affiliated with any products or companies?

In mu opinion both are equally important along with SEO if you carry SMO it would too beneficial for you keyword and will make it easy to reach on top position.
