Why you're getting higher suggested bids than you see in training guides...

I see a lot of people posting about having much higher suggested bids from Facebook ads than they see in any training guides or case studies from the pros. I wasn't sure what was happening to them until just today, I experienced the same thing.

Last night, I had my main FB ad account shut down... or at least it's in review for "fraudulent activity". This is the 2nd time this has happened to me over the past year... their safety department is literally mentally retarded monkeys. They shut people down for no reason all the time. Then, they don't explain what caused the red flag.

Anyways, I have backup accounts ready just in case this shit happened again. Today, i started posting some tshirt ads on the newer account.

These ads were getting around $.20 suggested bid per click on the original ad account... on my new account, they are suggesting $0.80 per click.

Same image, same targeting, same exact everything and the bid is much higher.

So, what the hell is going on?

Honestly, I have no clear explanation on this. I don't know anything for a fact... but from my experience, it seems they give the new advertisers a trial period of shitty numbers. I've also noticed that it takes much longer to get reach started with my ads.

So for all those newcomers that have been messaging me about getting horribly high bid suggestions... I see what you're talking about now

Sorry to hear. Do you think it got shut down because of too many custom audiences or scraping? How many custom audiences had you created?

I doubt it was custom audiences or scraping. I ran ads through a different account then I scrape with... and custom audiences are what they want you to do.

I run my ads through a partner's account and he lives in the Philippines. So, it could be due to me logging in from the US... but I've used this account for over 6 months now. I will hear back from them shortly to know if it's reopened or shut down for good.

That doesn't really matter though. You can always get a new account.

I do scraping on one account, manage ads and fan pages from my main account and then have a third account that I don't use, but it has the power to manage the fan pages too, in case my main account gets banned. That way I can still have my fan pages without worrying about losing them with my main account being banned. For some reason it seems like this isn't an if thing, but a when, so I'm just waiting for it to happen. Also my main account here isn't my personal FB, but rather one I made specifically for this. My personal account is in no way connected to any of my social media advertising as a further safe guard.

Let us know their reasoning if they ever do respond. Once again all my ads got paused. I hope it's not a sign of a ban coming.

Do you use a completely new card when you run ads from a new account?

With "Clicks To Website" and manual cpc...does lowering ur bid gradually by 2 cents will affect the CTR AND CVR?

I know after a while the cpc adjusts itself if the ctr is good enough, but i started the campaign bidding too high so i knew i was paying too much per click...now i've dropped my bid in a good zone but both ctr/cvr might seem to have dropped too...or maybe its just because it's a monday...Opinions? tks!

It's just a guess on my part, but it seems that FB has different rates for different people. It could be based on the history of the account.

My newer account has definitely leveled out on the high bids over the day. They seem to be the normal bids I'm used to seeing.

My original account got reviewed and cleared from any fault, so will be able to go back to the favored account anyways

Damn i'm getting a 7.5% CTR and still paying 0.87$ per website clicks and an average cpc of 0.38$!

Had you just bid the same thing as you were bidding on your first account or you went along the new suggestion?

I bet they are. I got banned twice for no reason. Everything was in good shape. My ads were perfectly decent and usual.
