Being charged by Facebook but no clicks

Hey guys,

Running a few split tests for 'website clicks' and keeping a close eye on things it appears I'm being slowly charged money yet no clicks are registering.

To the point where CPC has gone up from $0.60 or so to almost $3 a click.

Very odd - does anyone know what is going on?

As mentioned I'm optimising for website clicks.. shouldn't I only be charged per click?

Cheers,
Daniel

On the whole, you get what you pay for.

No likes on the fan page itself, no engagement on the ads themselves.

Definitely not a stranger to social media, just found that rather odd as I've never noticed it before.

Looks like clicks are starting to track now and CPC is dropping a little - odd.

        Switching to manual bid.

        $3.50 a click is outrageous!

have you tried page post engagements? I can usually get my cost down to 10¢ per engagement going after niche specific fb groups which bring me very targeted traffic and high conversions fast. I think my approach is more effective then website clicks because I can manually edit my live campaigns on the fly in real time and change my call to action + build very targeted lists.

If you use post engagements start with a $10 usa per day budget and run it for 3 days to iron out fb ad wrinkles and they usually get optimized to my 10¢ goal.. I hope this helps

I'm having the exact same issues. My CPC bid is about 1/3 of what they're actually charging for website clicks.
My ads are links, which means the photo, the text and everything else in the ad is a link. There is pretty much no other place to click. Still, Facebook is reporting "$0,26 CPC" and "$0,67 Per Website Click"..
So where are they clicking every time I pay??

There's nothing you can really change. Facebook charges on a CPM for all ads now, it just optimizes to what CPC you want.
