Which is the best platform to advertise on when it comes to social media? Seems like all the big sites are offering advertising, it can get a bit confusing

    Facebook is by far the biggest social network, but there are some more where you can advertise
    Depends of course on the offers you promote.
    For example if you do dating you can try PoF.

    It really depends upon the niche you're marketing to. In general, Facebook & Twitter. With some niches like education, Google+. If you are in the fashion, health, education or any market that has impact on a large demographic of women, Pinterest is likely to pay off well for you. Instagram is trending with younger customers right now. So, in short, I'd go and look around each of these medias & see who they appeal to & what the most popular types of content are & work backwards from there. If your niche looks like it might be popular on each of these, then place widgets to it on your page. If it does not, then I wouldn't start out with that. Some people choose to have ALL of them listed on their pages. I find that seems like too much clutter. I prefer a few, well thought-out placements & go from there.

    For Instagram, they are starting to let big companies advertise, but you can also contact page owners directly for a shoutout for advertising, however this is mainly used to promote other Instagram profiles.

    Depending on what your need is for the advertising, you could make an Instagram profile for it, then put your link in that bio.

    I own @VinesBestt and sell ad space on the page but I'm also a store owner and find Instagram the best place to sell physical products.. Clothing, jewelry, etc.. The younger market is quicker to whip out their credit cards on social media than the older crowd is.. So makes sense... Aslo, Instagram is leading with the growing population of younger people 12-25y.o's I believe..
