I got over 1 MILLION views last month on YT and made $1 on my website.
My brand is 4-5 years old and my website has been up since 2011. I make about 25 cents a day on my site and $20/day on YouTube. My website averages 150 views/day and YouTube does 14,000 views/day. My content is very visual and is best in video format. My website mostly features my best videos with a brief write up. Top videos get a more detailed write up and on the YouTube side, I point to website from any popular videos for links to more info or follow up videos.
I feel like I'm missing out on a LOT of profit. I thought you make more money on your site than on YouTube because YouTube takes so much money.
I don't promote the website in any way, other than from my YouTube channel. That is ALL I do. I do videos and then I create pages on my website that feature those videos. I add a catchy title like I would for the video, then I add keywords. That is it. No link exchange or anything of that sort. What am I missing?
Also, might it be worth it to hire some kind of e commerce adviser to help me make my site profitable? I've got all this traffic and I feel it's being wasted.
