How do I use adverts to my advantage?

I run a vinyl lettering business and my Facebook business page currently has 711 likes, 100% unique likes. I got just about all of them by inviting my friends to like the page and a lot are from customers who were happy with my work.

I ran a Facebook campaign a while ago, lets say $5 a day was my budget. I was seeing my page get a couple likes here and there, but are these REAL likes? I targeted a certain age group, United States area, and selected other pages for interest.

If I want to bring in clients from out of area, anywhere on Facebook what is the best way to set up an advert campaign?? How much do you have to spend per day to see an ACTUAL difference?

    You budget will depend on your targeting and how many people you have in your audience.

    It's generally no longer worth running ads for likes, you are better running $5-10 a day to a ad that page post engagement, likes will happen naturally.

    Ask yourself .

    Who are your target buyers

    Then go to audience insights and find something they'll like and use that as an interest in your ads.

    Don't stick close to home.. Go nationwide. Create and advertise specific vinyl products

      So basically if I make a post on my Facebook page, use the promote this post option and run a campaign that way? My target buyers I would say are kids who are into the car scene and business owners. I go from making one simple 5 inch car decal, to making hundreds of decals for one business owner.

      5 minutes after I created this thread, I posted on these private facebook groups asking people who like my page, receives a buy one get one free decal of their choice. In 10 minutes I received about 10 real likes.

        Don't use the boost button, create an ad, but yes that's the way forward.. You could create an ad for people who like 3 or 4 car magazines and run it to them.. Use the audience insights tool in the ad manager

    Do you service the entire United States area with your vinyl lettering business? If not, then it would not be worthwhile to get likes from people outside your local city/county region. See if it's possible to geo-target more close to your business area so you reach real potential customers.
