Hello Warriors,

I'm sort of new on warriorforum because I had an account
ages ago but I don't have a clue what I named it.
I apologize because i went a little bit off topic.
Anyways, I'm looking for some guidance regarding
YouTube Marketing.

I have a few questions about one specific youtube topic which is
product placement if someone can answer them i would greatly appreciate it.

It says about paid product placement:

A typical example of a paid product placement is one in which a marketer pays a partner to specifically mention their product or brand in what would normally be the editorial part of the content.

My questions for the above is:

1. Can the marketers also be affiliate marketers? (does one have to have finished college for marketing, business in order to be known as a marketer or can anyone be an affiliate marketer and be known as a marketer?)

2. Is the editorial part of the content - the video description that is below the video?

All answers will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

    Hi

    1. Yes Affiliate marketers are also known as marketers. But in your case, I think you want to market your product as an affiliate in youtube videos. I suggest your all product placements will need to conform to YouTube Ad Policies. Your college degree will benefit you in your marketing field, but it's not necessary to become a marketer or an affiliate marketer. But you need to absorb some knowledge about your marketing before starting by having a mentor in that field or reading some books.

    2. Paid product placements are defined as pieces of content that are created specifically for a sponsor and where that sponsor’s brand, message, or product is integrated directly into the content. So it must be in your video itself.

Paid product reviews are very common on very big Youtube channels. However, before doing one of those of your own, you might want to read what Youtube says about the practice. Youtube is likely to be less tolerant of a new Youtube channel than one that is more well established. Another factor to consider is how at some point, Youtube might require channel owners to specify when they are being paid to review a product.
