You can unlock your Facebook account by identifying photos of your friends. It is the simple and easy way to unlock your Facebook ID. You need to identify approximately 5 of your friends.

That should be easy enough, but some people just add 'friends of friends' without bothering to get to know those people. And, the ones added are not friends so much as acquaintances. There's another scenario where a person might only be adding 'friends' (that is people they don't really know), for the purpose of spamming their feeds with links. In that situation, it will be harder for the person to identify five friends as they won't really know who those people are by sight.

They must not have liked something you were doing. Did you get some kind of notice as to why they locked it?

Someone reported you for using a fake name (doesn't mean you did, just that someone reported it). This happened to me once - there was a Fox news post and I made a "controversial" comment - the comment itself got more than 6,000 Likes in a span of a few minutes. Within a few hours my account was locked. Apparently someone didn't like it.

And of course if your account is locked, you don't "exist" on Facebook - friends can no longer see your profile, any comments you've made on other posts are invisible, etc. It took 4 days for the account to be unlocked and I had to send them valid ID. The person I talked to at Facebook told me it was "fairly common" and that there are groups of people who are organized and utilize this feature to squelch the free speech of people who say things they don't agree with. Once a certain number of reports come in (they didn't say how many), Facebook's system automatically takes action in the same way it automatically deactivates posts if enough people click 'Report this post'.

That's very disconcerting! And, Facebook tolerates this nonsense? You would think that Facebook would be smart enough to know that it's the same group of people reporting posts every time in controversial situations. I would think that type of behavior could be considered trolling. Why would they put up with that?

Probably for the same reason Google can't stop black hat SEO techniques. Once people figure out the formula, you can manually undo what they did but you can't stop them from doing it again.

Sometimes they was it from few users. It is important to prove that you are a real human and you are not using other's identity. By the way, you may trust facebook for providing your identity card copy

Sometimes if you just lay low and wait a couple days in between each try to unlock your account, they will change the requirements to unlock it. One time it happened to me and then I laid low and went back after a week and the message just requested me to change my password for security reason coz that thought someone was trying to gain unauthorized access to my account. You just never know with FB. Hopefully things will work out for you.

Ask them questions before showing your ID to them or request a different way to unlock your account.

Do you have a photo ID that you can submit, such as faxing in or sending via email? This should clearly verify your identity. Typically, any ID with a photo will work even one used for travel.

They just want to confirm sth. It's okay, just show your ID card to them.

Didn't they say why they locked your account?
I've never had this problem, but I have a friend on my friend's list who has been locked 2 times already. He has almost 5,000 friends and keep liking and sharing everything he sees! So, my guess is, someone reported him. But they must give you a reason for why they locked you out.
