Facebook fan pages becoming a headache! Are you having the same problem?

Hi fellow warriors,

I've build a Facebook fan page of over nearly 40K fans. At first thins were great until Facebook decided to change their algorithms for Facebook fan reach (so they can rip us off). My posts have decreased dramatically in reach (as many people have been experiencing) because Facebook wants you to pay to boost your posts (so they can make money off you) in order for more of your fans to see it.

Of course this us unethical and potentially illegal on Facebook's part. We pay Facebook for their ads so we can gain more fans. Then Facebook makes us pay again so we can engage with our fans?

Apparently the key is make interesting content. Make your posts interesting so your fans will like/comment on them. The more fans engage with your post the more it will organically reach.

That is actually not true. I recently did some awesome posts that had a very high engagement rate (of likes and and comments) and even though they have very high engagement rates there reach is still low.

It is very strange..

Anyone experiencing the same problem and have any tips?

Thanks.
Mark

Facebook is a business and they're making changes to make their business more profitable. I don't really fault them for that. I don't see it as being unethical or illegal for them to do what they're doing, but hey, to each his own.

The days of building a Facebook page and getting great engagement without paying for it are coming to an end. If you want to use Facebook to make money, you're going to have to pay for ads. Here's what I'm doing to make money right now. I buy likes from Facebook to build a page. Once I've got 10K or so likes, I start running ads to the people who like the page. The ads are for shirts and products, and I'm building a mailing list in some of my niches.

If you're selling the right products, your engagement will go through the roof on the ads, and you'll end up getting more engagement on the posts you aren't advertising as an added bonus.
