creating facebook page for clients?

if you create a facebook page for a client, how exactly do you manage that?

Do you create the page under your own personal account and give them access or do you have to get access to their own personal facebook account first?

Thanks in advance.

    Hey hobokook

Personally, I create under my personal account...this way you can set it up and do everything that needs too for them.

Now if they are going to want to add and change you can set both parties as page admins --> Settings > page roles

If you stop work for them and they paid for the page/ setup -- just edited the admin roles, remove yourself and then they have their page.

    Cheers! Hope this helped!

I agree. This method makes for a smooth break up if it were to occur. And they still have access as an admin

    Hi There,

I also prefer to use my own account. That way I have everything centralized at one place. Convenient & Productive.

I assign admin privilege to their account if they wish to co-manage the content. I can assign admin roles to various VAs or different members of my team for different projects.

And lastly, If we need to hand it over to them, I .Just need to remove myself from admin.

Using your personal account is fine. You can also set up a dummy account but there are risks being caught. You can also add other managers to other accounts so that you will have an emergency back up account for that certain business page.

You can tell your clients to use their personal account or create a new account for the Facebook page. If they already have the page then that's the time they will assign a role. They should decide to make you an Admin,Editor,Moderator,Advertiser, or Analyst. Some of these roles have limitations. The next step then is to complete all information of the page, update it, and get more likes.

Naturally I create facebook page under my personal account and then give the adminship to my clients with their personal facebook account. I think this is the best option.

I think it is better to open a page for your client under your own page because you have a friends list so they also attach with your page so that positive.
