Where are my Facebook Page Likes coming from?

I've recently (over the last couple of weeks) had thousands of new likes on one of my Facebook pages. When I view the insights it says that my growth is due to page suggestions. Is there a way to find out where the page suggestions came from? I even resorted to posting on the page as a poll to ask people how they found our page and only got two responses. Both said they did a search (on Facebook??) and found the page. Does anyone else know how I can get more information?

Page suggestions is a reasonable explanation. Many times, when I'm on Facebook, I get the suggestions to the side or in my own feed and am just as likely to take those suggestions as they are tailored to my specific interests.

I have a page that I stopped using about 3 months ago, and I still get about 8-10 new likes each week. I think FB just suggests pages to people that like pages that are similar to yours. So if your page is about coffee, they suggest it to people that have liked other coffee pages. I'm not sure if you can track this... but at least you're getting more likes, right?
