Facebook website conversion ads with pixel won't run

I am having issues with trying to run website conversion ads on FB. I am running teespring ads for what its worth. When I run them with no pixel they run fine. When I add a pixel, they never run. I wasn't using power editor before so I used it on my most recent ad and I thought it was going to work. I set up an ad with a pixel and bid double the highest suggested bid for conversions just to see if I could get it to run. It has been running for about 6 hours and reached 3 people, which is 3 more than any of the other conversion ads I've tried to run with a pixel.

I called and spoke to someone at Facebook and they said it was because teespring didn't have a privacy policy (which is untrue). I think that is just their go to answer when they have no clue.

Is anyone else running in to this issue? If not, any ideas on what I'm doing wrong?

Well, I finally got the ad to run..kind of.

Instead of bidding (I was bidding double the highest suggested bid) I selected "automatically optimize bid to get more conversions" and the results were terrible to say the least. Facebook automatically set my bid to $30 per conversion. See the stats in the attachment.

Any suggestions on how to get these conversion ads to run at at reasonable conversion cost? Id be willing to pay up to $4 per conversion.

    Hey bbn31.

There problem with your costs is because Facebook just does not have enough data to make up a reasonable CPA for you.
If you want to get those CPA costs down start with CPC bidding (cost per click), once you start having conversions (Use conversion tracking to track conversions) then you can switch up to oCPM bidding.
Basically what will happen is Facebook is gonna take that data from those people who converted and will go out on its network and start to search for more similar people who would be morel likely to buy.

That's why you always have to start with CPC if you don't have a buyers list or conversions. Once you start getting conversions from CPC, switch the bidding over to oCPM and your conversion cost will go down, because Facebook simply will have data about people who are most likely to buy. It won't spend money on searching for people, rather it will spend money on the right people

That's what i've experienced and suggestion to try for you. Of course I can't guarantee you a thing, but this is one way to go about it.

    Hope it helps
