Social Media Vs Traditional E-article Publishing

My thoughts are publishing articles to social media and groups is more effective since, I believe, there are greater chances of good information to be shared since it is "social". I submit the title and a short description with a link to my forum. Any thoughts on publishing to social media as opposed to sites such as ezinearticles?

My next question is I installed the AddThis app on my forum, which I began using today to share my articles with social media sites. Any suggestions on which social media sites, besides the big ones, FB G+, T, Reddit, Tumblr, I should use? They do not have to be on AddThis naturally.

Nice idea. The mayor diference between social media and ezinearticles is the mindset of people reading your article.

    Linkedin, pinterest or vk?

Congratulations on your forum! You could try LinkedIn, Pinterest, Tumblr, Reddit. Mostly Reddit is good since it features several sub pages where you can post and raise people's interest. Best of luck!

    Hey

    Nice question.
If you will be sharing cool and interactive images then use Pinterest.
Stumbleupon is also nice platform to share post.
    And offcourse LinkedIn

In general, you will get more traffic and shares from posting on social sites, or having your articles syndicated. Article directories don't send as much traffic as they used to and if you have only a fixed amount of time in your day to market, using the place where you stand to get the most notice is a good idea.

Article directories aren't exactly dead, but they are set up for the readers of those articles to click on ads presented alongside the articles themselves and most times have no reason to click on the link in your bio.

You will probably need to post something else in addition to your articles going out through AddThis in order to create real engagement with the readers on your social sites. But overall, I think you will get more results from those instead of article directories.

Article directories are good, but they won't bring you as much traffic as social media would. On Social media, if you have a good headline people would be tempted to open your article and give it a read, if they're impressed they'll share it, your article can also go viral, so in my opinion Social media is much better.
