Hi all,
I have just created a fan page for a club and I would like to know how long in average it takes in order to reach 1000 likes.
Many thanks

There is no average because there are too many variables.

    1. Do you have a paid budget?
    2. Are you considering bot clicks?
    3. Do you have a niche related friends list you can share viral like posts to?

    Just something to consider...

There is not any specified time period for increasing likes for your business page. It totally depends upon the type of your business. I would recommend you to generate your page likes in a natural way. ADD ME FAST, LIKE4LIKE are considered as a black-hat technique so don't use them. Post relevant text based content with an attractive image on your business page for promotion, add friends related to business, facebook chat and other can be best ways for increasing your page likes.

It depends on a number of factors and contingent upon your strategies

    Free route:
    It will again depend on:
    a. how many friends you have who will like your page if you send them invites
    b. how many groups you have so that if you could promote your page there, you may get some free likes
    c. how big is your list so that you may entice them to like your page
    d. how is your PR among fellow page admins so that you may ask them to share your page's content.

    Paid Route:
    a. How much you can spend?
    b. How big is your addressable market?
    c. How you run the ads i.e. ad copy/image and targeting you use while running ads.

I opt for the free route :

      a) Just about 300 hundred. Also I have to work on this.
      b) About 10 groups.
      c) Do not have any list yet.
      d) Just started and also my PR is certainly not high (I don't know how I can measure/find it).

It's hard to pinpoint an average. It would depend on how timely and socially active your page is. If you post often and if people are wanting to know more about the certain club, likes will come. However, you can get to 1000 likes faster if you encourage people from other platforms to like the page.

That depends on the niche and budget you'd want to put into the page. The beginning is always the toughest part of growing a page. Make sure you got great content that would attract users to Like your page

I would still insist that the type of users that you can get FB Ads is unrivaled than any other method. The type of targeting possibilities available enables you to pinpoint and laser-target your page to the ones who matter. After all, that's how true potential of FB Pages are unleashed.

Do you have experiences about using Facebook marketing? Is it worth it? Do you find real potential customers or just useless likes from who aren't really interested in your business?

Yes I am in the business of running Facebook Ads since long. Not only I am promoting my affiliate offers, but I am also providing services to local businesses & e-commerce businesses in boosting their business via running their ads and managing their pages. My clients have seen enormous increase in their revenue and sales via Facebook courtesy of my techniques of running ads.
Ultimately, again, its all about showing the right content to the right customer in the right way and at the right time. If you do so, there is no reason that the conversion will not happen. It happens with a bang!

The timing depends upon the effectiveness of the methodology that you opt for. You'll increase your likes quicker with paid techniques as compared to free techniques.

you can get more likes by targeted ads, inviting your friends, putting a like button on your website or blog, running contests, posting engaging content, and if you're selling something than offering discounts.

It took me about 1 year to get 1,000 organic likes for one of my pages. And it's been longer since I have my other Fb. page, but I'm not even close to that number! So it really depends on what the page is about, how many people are interested in it, how much are you willing to pay for likes and so on.

It totally depends on the posts and the kind of page do you have. If it is quite attractive then not much time otherwise can be so much.

If your goal is 1,000 likes then focus on doing the right things and don't worry how and when it happens.

The right things would be to provide relevant, quality posts and sharing those with your target market.

If you do this on a consistent basis then the likes will come.

Also keep in mind once you reach your goal its vital to set new goals and continue to do the same things or else your audience will become inactive.

As long as you stay engaged with your audience...your audience will stay engaged with you.
