How do you find the hottest trending news for a SPECIFIC DAY for a SPECIFIC TOPIC on Twitter?

How do you guys do research on Twitter for the hottest specific news for a specific topic. For example, if I am looking for TODAY'S hottest tweets regarding a celebrity, how do I search for this info? Hashtags aren't that helpful.... Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hey,

    If you login to your Twitter from a computer, go to the Homepage. Once there, you will see a 'DISCOVER' tab at the top of the page, with the hashtag symbol beside it.

    Click on that, and scroll a little bit down the page. On the left you will see a tab titled 'TRENDS'. There you will see what is trending in your country at that moment. You can also change the country to see what is trending in different places around the world.

    You can use topsy to find trending content on twitter as well. A great tool indeed.
