Promoting Products on Facebook Pages?

Hello!

So I had an idea, but I'm not sure if it works anymore.

The basic idea is to build Facebook fan pages around popular niches, through facebook like campaigns and then hopefully at a point it would grow organically at a nice rate.

I would post good content and pictures at least once a day to engage my audience and to build trust.

Then, every once in a while, I would make a post promoting an affiliate product, CPA offer, or the likes concerning my niche.

In this way, it's like treating the "likes" as email subscribers in a way.

I know that Facebook really sucks in that not all of your likes will see your posts, but is this still a viable and good way of making money?

    You would be pleased to know that you are quite on the right track! This is actually the way to monetize Facebook while complying to the gist of Social media.
    Once you have a community of niche-evangelist who would be actively engaging with you, blending your affiliate offers would not put them off. It won't seem officious or ersatz. They will happily respond.
    Be sure to follow 80-20 rule i.e. post 80% of the time about your niche and only 20% about affiliate offers and you will be good to go!
