Hey warriors,

I'm at the point where I don't have any more time to manage social media accounts for multiple websites of mine. How do you go about that, do you hire a VA? If so, how much do you usually pay them, and what strategy do you use? Like 1 hour a day or so, or do you go by a number of posts? What's the best place you think to hire a cheaper VA, Elance?

Thanks!

  • Hey,

Virtual Staff Finder - The Best Virtual Assistant Services Company in the World! is a good place to find what you're looking for. Check out their recommended reading section. They have a salary guide and a 101 that should answer your questions in detail.

    Hope that helps

Hi, I'm glad to know that you don't have time to manage your stuff which means you are growing and also good that you are delegating the tasks which is a very important move in a growth of any business. So here is my suggestion, hire an individual or company based on your requirement. There are many VA sites available, but if you haven't used anything earlier, you should learn to know how to hire a right VA. If you are going for a professional, don't mind looking at my signature

You Can Use Odesk. I am using some VA though odesk and pay to them $3/hour. Limits of time depends on you . For FB 1 hours is sounds good if not rush

Odesk is awesome for finding VAs, many skilled people there but you need to know how to separate the good ones from the bad ones. VAs from Philippines or Bosnia are my choice all the time, both dedicated and rather cheap workforce.

Thanks for the tips, and no thanks to self-promoters.

Right, so I'll go to oDesk or Elance then, as I previously intended. My last question would be is how much do you guys pay your VAs, and how often do you use their services? I was thinking about 1-2hr/day everyday for Social Media services, (3x Twitters, 3x Facebooks, 2x Pinterests, 3x Google+). It takes me an hour to go through all of these and post so random updates, pictures, etc. just to show and keep the accounts active, but I guess VAs will work slower?

    Thanks!

It seems you'll buy the price just to know you'll have a VA who is working for you. Social Media doesn't mean just FB/G+/Twitter/Pinterest shares. It's a lot of work to start getting results.

Depends on the volume of work, I had a 7 USD / hour full time VA last year, but there was other stuff involved like accounting, press release writing etc...

For basic trained chimp operations - 3 USD / up to 10 hours a week

Odesk is great, you can hire some new ones as a cheap rate and give them 5 stars on their profile as a reward when you post your job. Don't do any interview because you would waste most time on this. You can pick the best ones from bad ones, that are your own resource. Good luck.

You can Hire a VA or you can even do it yourself by building a good social media routine. The routine tasks that you mention will hardly take you one or two hours with good social media management tools.

This blog may be useful to you.

If you want to hire a VA then you'll find plenty of good ones on oDesk. Just check out their past feedback before you hire them. 3-5$ / hour is enough for a good VA.
