Facebook Boost Post $0.00 / Engagement

I run a fan page for popular Netflix series, Orange Is The New Black. I will be completely transparent about this. You can see my targeting options and content in the image provided.

The goal of this post is to show people interested in Facebook marketing that it is worth it when you get your targeting and audience right especially for those who don't believe in the Facebook boost option.

For $1 spread over 24hrs I received 218 engagements at a 38% ctr with an average cost of $0.00 per engagement.

Out of all of these engagements, I got 92 additional post likes, 12 shares & 11 pages likes.

Running a regular page like ad, I may have gotten 11 page likes for a dollar, but I got much more than that with boosting an already popular post.

Let me know what you think or if you have any questions about my fan page. Cheers.

~ Ayce

That is great engagement. What do you do with this Fanpage? Just kind of curious.

As of right now I just post regularly to grow my audience. It is not monetized currently. But I plan on formulating a non-invasive marketing strategy to sell goods or drive traffic once I feel my audience is large enough.

The ad has been running for just over a day now. At the time of the screen shot it was approaching the 24th hour of run time. I had scheduled it to slowly spend a dollar over 24hrs, merely pennies per hour. YET I receive very satisfying results.

I know! I halted the ad for now but I may continue it at a later date!

Do you use custom audience or just the default targeting options?

I've come up with my own little system. I boost a post & then I edit it in the regular ad manager. My results are pretty great actually. It is normal for me to have a $0.00 engagement rate.

If your content is good and engaging, you help Facebook, Facebook helps you. The key to trying for a viral post is to buy engagement as soon as a post takes off.

That's commendable indeed commendable. However, its always better to infer results of a campaign after spending atleast 5-6$. Besides, I would suggest to add a more clear CALL TO ACTION in your status post. That will help you more in getting your desired output.
Overall, you deserve appreciation for these results.

My goal isn't to get the viewer to complete an action. I don't need a call to action because the shares and likes are the social proof for others to join in. My goal is just to get the image in front of more eyeballs who enjoy the content and in turn they either like the page, image, or both.

Did you set the cost per click or left it auto?

Nope I always let Facebook choose. Also when you boost a post, you don't have the option to choose unless you go into power editor and change it up.

    I see...

I've had good results with 'page likes' ads for a determinate niche (i.e. wine), but on the other hand very awful results for another pages... I guess, the 'product' or the 'page topic' makes the difference.

I'm starting to test now with post booster... let's see what happens.

I love boost post. It's cheap (when used right) and works. I would pair it with audience intersect for best results.
