New to instagram. Just wondering if I always need a phone number when creating a new instagram account?

    Creating multiple accounts? If you have multiple facebook accounts also, you could use it to make the multiple instagram accounts.

    Instagram doesn't place any limit on the number of accounts you can create, as long as you provide a different email address for each one. The Instagram mobile application supports signing in with only one account at a time, although third-party programs enable you to manage multiple accounts from a single interface.

      Actually they do limit he number of accounts you can have. I set most of mine up a year ago. I was able to set up about 20-26 accounts on my iphone when they gave me a message saying "too many accounts have been registered with this device". So for more I just go to fiverr and have them made. If they don't limit the amount of accounts then that's news to me and if so would be something very new. But I think they still limit them.

    If your referring to them wanting you to enter a pin after you enter your phone number when creating a new account that they sent you by text message this seems to be very new I just noticed it myself. In my case it may be because I had someone on fiverr create me new accounts and then when I try to access them they want me to verify by entering a PIN they text me. Not sure if this happens when you create your first bunch of accounts on your phone by yourself.
