Best way to find power users?

I'd like to make a list of the top 50 power users of google+, facebook, twitter for my niche but not sure the best way to find them. When I search my niche on G+ it shows the people I have connections with and similar connections first which isn't exactly what I'm looking for. Any tips on finding the big players on social media?
