It seems that Instagram will be soon launching more flexible advertising options, as self serve ads are scheduled to come to UK advertisers in Q2 2015.

This could be particularly useful for small to medium businesses that have less budget to spend on social media but still find Instagram to be highly relevant and valuable for what they offer and the online community they are trying to reach.

    I'll be interested in how this affects bigger pages that sell shoutouts for other instagram users promoting their page. I guess it will depend on the prices that you can get the ads at, and how well Instagram users respond to "Promoted" posts in their feed.
