Noobie needs a little TWITTER advice

I have about 200 followers. I was hoping they would be curious enough to click my website link but no of them have. I have been holding off sending tweets until I get some advice.

What/ how should I tweet to try to promote my website and products? I want to avoid overselling in the tweet so that I don't turn off the followers.

Also, can I use twitter to promote links to my blogs?

Lastly, how many time can you tweet in a day without going overboard?

You can Tweet as much as you want because how Twitter is setup is that unless you're sending Tweets like a couple a day, some of your followers might miss them. Just make sure you mix up your Tweets so you're not sending out the same messages constantly.

As far as promoting your website and products, that's fine but you want to probably stick to the 80/20 rule. That is 80% of content you share should NOT be promotional; it should be informative and useful. The other 20% of the time I'd promote away.

You should also build up your followers by following people who would generally have an interest in the products you sell. Because they'll get notified you followed them and hopefully follow you back. If they don't follow you back within a week then unfollow them.

Also make sure to steer clear of buying followers because they're all just junk accounts and won't do you any good. Best way to gain followers would be like how I mentioned above or run some Twitter Ads.
