Help! Facebook Thinks my Link is Unsafe!

Hi all,

I'm trying to promote my squeeze page on facebook and for some reason, the link for that redirects to a "unsafe link" message page.

The main one that concerns me is not being able to use facebook to drive traffic to my opt-in page. Does FB have a rule against opt-ins that I don't know about?

How do I fix this so I can move on?

Have you tried using link shorteners?

Not sure it will still work now but facebook is becoming more strict on Affiliate promotions.

NO. I haven't tried a shortener yet. Is that like one of those bit.ly links or something?

None of the links tried posting to have been to an affiliate offer. I've only ever posted links to my blog posts or an opt-in page. And I've only just put in place an affiliate offer on my Thank You Page the other week but I've been having this issue for longer.

Are you using a free domain / subdomain?

If yes, most likely the people using your shared domain is being used for spamming and got blacklisted by facebook.

If no ,looks like someone reported your link as a spam and got blacklisted. I just tried posting my blog post on my facebook page and it's still working fine.

Can you test if masking your link using https://goo.gl using still works.

Link shortener do not work on facebook normally, facebook reveal the main URL from the shortened URL and block it if it blacklisted before.

If you can't promote your site directly then you can create a web2.0 blog and then promote it through facebook.

Just use a PHP redirect hosted on your site that should solve the problem.
