fb ads account closed because maxbounty redirect

Hi!

My facebook ad account was closed yesterday. i thinks its because of the iframe redirect to maxbounty offers.

they told me it's because "money making opportunities" and "get rich quick schemes".
But it was only a real estate offer. i am sure it is because of the iframe redirect.

My question: i am not the only one who is using this iframe redirecting method...does somebody have any ideas or solutions?

greetings

Creating a squeeze page that the Facebook ad directs to which then links to the actual offer is the best way to get around this. There are plenty of resources out there that can assist you in creating your own landers.

A little photoshop and HTML can go a long way

    Good luck.

What country was the offer for? I'm wondering if they got geo redirected?
Either way, this shows a great reason as to why we should be using landing pages as much as possible, sorry to hear about this

Good thinking. I've promoted Max Bounty offers that were redirected to an entirely different kind of offer in certain other countries.

Your best option is to reach out to them and explain that what you did shouldn't result in your account being terminated.

Facebook can be pretty ruthless when it comes to doing things the way they want you to, that's why you have to be extra careful when promoting offers on there.

          Good luck either way!

Unfortunately, the chances of them re-instating the account are slim. From various people I've talked to and posts I've seen in their community forum, I don't think they actually read the appeals that they get. They just send a standard reply that doesn't tell you anything about why the account was closed, and tell you they can't re-open it.

I think they've had some recent changes to their terms that have affected a lot of advertisers, so they should have posted a notice about it in the ads manager.

But rather than stop one ad that violates their new terms and send a notice to the advertiser about why or how it's against their terms, they just disable the entire ads account. No ifs, ands or buts.

Perhaps some of the sites you redirected are viewed as unsafe.

drop an email to facebook and resquest them to unlock your account. promise them to read TERMS AND CONDITION again and to follow the rules.
    this would help you.
just give it a try, i am very hopeful for this way.

I agree with everyone above about dropping them a line and asking to be reinstated. I would like to add something though.

Move forward. Create another profile and move forward. remember this though. The asset is your posts and your ads not the profile.

The idea is that everything you post you have backed up on your computer so that if something like this happens again, you can start over much quicker.

Basically, when you are putting a lot of work into something, ask yourself, what can I be saving in the event of a meltdown situation...how can I get all my work back?

This happened to me on youtube, I had saved none of my videos and got my account shut down for who knows why because they don't tell you.

You better believe that when I started my next account, I was backing up everything. My asset was the videos not the profile.

Good luck man. Don't dwell on it just move forward and put contingencies in place to protect yourself.

  • As some people say above, it's due to geo redirections and offering a different offer that is not related to your ad.
The most probable thing is that you won't get your ad account back, but try to open a new one and this time don't violates its rules.

I agree with the rest of the guys who replied above, unfortunately chances that you'll get your account back are so very slim! But do drop them an email! And if it doesn't work, then at least you learned from your mistake.. open up a new account and start over. Good luck!
