Selling One Product Via Your Twitter Profile?

Has anyone tried selling just one product via Twitter where they have a link to it in their bio, and then go find people who may be interested in that product and interact with them? Also, your Twitter handle would be something related to whatever product you're promoting.

I did try this a little, but never stuck with it and I'm wondering if it might be a good way to sell. Think about it. The best way to reach a person is to talk to them one on one. Perhaps there's a few variables that matter such as:

-What point do they visit your profile and see your bio? (If it's too soon, the trust factor may have not developed)

-How much you interact with them (Favoriting, commenting on their tweet, or following them)

-And maybe other factors.

So has anyone tried this with any success?

I would really advice reconsidering your strategy.

You have to understand that Twitter marketing is not about following tons of people and then having enough of them follow you back and then you are “engaging” with them, meaning spamming them.

That is how many people try to market on Twitter and, guess what, they are not making as much money as they could be making if they use Twitter the right way.

So, what is the right way to use Twitter?

    It is very simple.

Engage influential people in your niche.

    Share content.

Build credibility through your content shares.

Once enough people trust you, you can then get people to click on your link so they can go to more content that further establishes your credibility.

The key is to get enough of these people to sign up for your mailing list.

Your mailing list is an asset.

It is not just a one-shot conversion platform.

It can act like a conversion platform, but it is more than that.

It turns an otherwise temporary traffic into long-term commercial relationships.

That is the best way to gain maximum traction on Twitter.
