Can Twitter be used to Advertise eBay listings

Can twitter be used to advertise eBay listings, or would this be considered spam on twitter? I am just wondering if this would be an effective way to draw people towards the listings.

Does anyone do this effectively?

    No, it's not considered spam and many people do this on Twitter. If you look in your eBay settings you can have it Tweet every time you list a new item.

      Why is this considered Spam? If the promotion is done correctly I don't see any reason why this would be spam.

      OP, it is possible to sell ebay products via Twitter but you have to make sure that it is a product that works with twitter.

      If it is a digitial product or clothes then the chances are good that you will sell it. If it is a heavy, high priced product you need to try it somewhere else.

    Nice I will take a look at making it automatic. Do you happen to know if it will ad to the views if it is shown on twitter or if it is only when the link is clicked and you go the the listing on ebay that the item gets a view?

    Bro, you can market ebay listings in any social media platform that has real people. Facebook Fanpage for example with real followers can get your listings off the roof. It doesnt matter if its twitter, facebook, stumble. linkedin, redit, as lonmg as you have "REAL" people in the page then you are good to go

  • If you have a big audience, real followers then you will be able of not only promoting Ebay listings but also have success.

    Many people do this, they tweet promotional links even twice a day. For example they tweet 8 times a day and 2 tweets are for promoting ebay listings.

    Twitter states that its spam, but I think if you post in moderation it should be fine. If you post affiliate links too often, then you probably won't have much of a following left anyway.

    If you post misleading links (e.g. affiliate links, links to malware/click jacking pages, etc.);

    Yes you can use Twitter to advertise your ebay listings and in this way you can earn money easily but for this purpose you have to work very hard. You need to get more and more followers and try to reach to those people who are interested in your business or products.

    it's not hard at all.... and it works. I promote my ebay store via twitter daily... I also post new items 5 days per week and that helps as well.... the best is when someone who specializes in my product line retweets to their followers... that's when the sales roll in. good luck with your ebay store

    i don't think that posting your ebay listings on twitter will bring you more sales.For me facebook was the best, you create a group find real buyers and post items. That way if you market the right products, products that people would like to buy than you will have sales. Also you can use a page to get the url shortened and make some money out of that too. Especially if you are from the USA, or would sell products to people in the USA.
