Multiple Companies, One Twitter Account?

My boss's business model is: 1 business with multiple sub-businesses. Meaning, he has multiple businesses that are all under one main name.

Now I want to start using Twitter but problem is I would have to create multiple email addresses because Twitter does not allow multiple accounts on one email. Should I use one Twitter account to represent all businesses or manage multiple Twitter accounts for each business (using a social media management tool like HootSuite to make it easier)? The businesses are all under one niche but cater to different demographics.

Example: one company offers teleconferencing for small business owners nationwide (soho) while another caters to all businesses targeting one area (localized).

I think you can do both! But it's more easier to use one account, 'coz you have same niche anyway. All you have to do is the proper linking so the people won't get confuse. Also make them understand your business too. That you are catering multiple sub-businesses.

  • Twitter is merged with facebook account so it will help to promote your business so easily rather then doing different different post.

I'd say you can safely use 1 main account to promote the sub-businesses of your boss. No harm in doing that, as long as the businesses are interlinked.

It is depend upon the requirement of your boss want single account or all the businesses have different functions in different fields to run different accounts.
