Facebook Page Growth Hacks?

I've studied courses on going viral and facebook seems to be the hardest, I mean you can't do a follow/followback strategy like you can on twitter, instagram or even snapchat (I don't use google+ much/). So what are your top tips for getting organic facebook likes?

Thanks a lot!

Test different (viral type) images on your FB page. Use FB as yourself and go to your page. Share that image in a relevant group and see if it gets Likes / Shares. If not, try a different type of image b/c different niches like different types of images. You never know until you test.

  • When trying to kickstart a "viral" campaign on Facebook, you must utilize facebook ads.
It's almost impossible to succeed without them (unless you have a very special piece of content),

Always promote a post, and not a page!
If you can find something that you think people will be very eager to share, you run an ads campaign to get it started. Once people start sharing the post, you hope for a sort of "chain effect" to keep it spreading. Once you start to see a lot of organic engagement, you stop the ads campaign and hope for the best.

The key to viral marketing is content. Plain and simple. Don't expect your "subscribe to mailing list" is going to go viral. Think outside the box.

Okay I've just made an 9 minute kitesurfing video, I think it's good enough to share but I'm not sure how to market it to make it share, do you think it's a good idea to put it on my wordpress blog, add a share to unlock plugin and then boost it from there?

    Let me know your opinions

  • Here is how I would go about it.
First of all, think of bouncing traffic from facebook to your website, instead of getting your website visitors to create the viral effect.

What I'm trying to say by this, is that you will probably have very few visitors to start with and the probability of getting a significant jump start from them, is very low.

Create a facebook page (if you don't have one already) and post the a shortened video with the highlight of the 9 minute ones. Link your website where the full video is embedded in the description of the post. Set up a facebook ads campaign and run it on CPM not CPC.

Set a very small daily budget and see how it goes.

As I said in my initial post, it's all about the content. So I can only give you general suggestions.
I have not idea what your end goal is. Increasing you list? Making money from ads? Promoting an affiliate product? These all factor in the process.

Don't be afraid of playing with this and testing different things out. Don't be afraid of loosing a couple of bucks, because you're still learing something.

    Good luck!
