I usually tweet up to three or four times a day. I post what's going on in the news, motivational quotes and updates on my blog. I also found out that securing your tweets can gain more followers. In order to follow me you would need a request. It makes my account seem more important.

I think I have seen this kind of post so many times about the idea of getting followers. If you need followers, others want it as well. So, to get followers, people tend to follows others to get follow back. Because of that, following is just a way to benefit themselves and everybody thinking the same thing so nobody cares about each other. That is why you don't get many interaction. I think if you focus on getting followers, you can get from many people who just want to increase their followers. Clearly, this is a loop because following someone to get follow back. If you ask them for a sale, they are not gonna spend money because they follow you to ask you for a sale. So, you are wasting your time on the following thing because you can't make money from these followers.

My 1 cents here:
