I only share a blurb and a link on social sites. The idea is to attract website traffic, not send it somewhere else. If you post entire articles on other sites, there's little incentive to visit the actual site.

Sometimes I wonder if that's the cause behind the lost traffic that some experience.

There are a couple of problems there. Yes, duplicate content does not work well in that context. People on social media sites want to rad new fresh ideas, not the same one over and over.

Second, you need to post much more than once a day, unique content to each sm site. More like 6-8-10 times a day.

You can duplicate between platforms, but not often.

For me, it all depends on the content. Some things are better shared on Twitter and not Facebook -- and vice versa.

I always prefer Facebook and Google plus to promote my content.

I thonk that it depends on the content you share. Of course it can be annoying to read one and the same post in all the social channels. So I think you should choose which content to share in FB, which one in Twitter etc.

There is no problem if you share your website links to different different site.. All the people are doing this to reach as much as they can.

Post you links to sites and use proper hastag to you post.

there is definitely nothing wrong with this, just consider that not all people are online everywhere, some preffer fb, others preffer twitter or pinterest, there are few that check all of them often. So if you share on all of them, you basically have more chance of reaching a lot more people. As for duplicate content that's not the case with social media, never worry about that.
