Hey there

Be sure that YT have a really good indexation level for Google. EVEN COMMENTS. that's true.
But other side that your idea actually is not new and comments on YT have TONS of trash inside.
That's why I think it's bad idea to get traffic.
But may be you will make some success as a SEO part. Anyway, share your results

Youtube is smart. Best to play it by the book. I never mess about with them and even buy real quality views, good backlinks and other stuff to comply with the rules.

You can do that but make sure you don't use your main accounts to do it. You will get flagged and banned for sure.

This is a good way to lose a channel. YT doesn't like keyword stuffing and has banned channels/accounts for stuffing.

I delete any comments on my videos that contain links.

Instead, set up multiple channels and create "link silos" to your money videos from your other videos and channels.

You mean making multiple channels in one account that target similar keywords and use them to get get likes and comments on my main video ?

No. I mean to make more videos and channels and use them to create internal links by adding links in annotations, cards, descriptions, channel pages, comments on your own videos, in playlist descriptions, etc.

In theory you can also do some research and post GOOD comments on other video view pages that have good PageRank, preferably with few additional comments so you don't share any PageRank. Any comments will automatically create a link to the channel page you're using. The channel page will pass PR to the videos listed on the channel page.

A problem with this strategy though is that Google hasn't updated its external PageRank in ages. But you may be able to find some old video pages that have PageRank. It's worth a try, but I wouldn't spend a lot of time on it.

It would help if you did not automate the process, actually took the time to read the person's articles, provided thoughtful comments, and had videos that were helpful to them and their readers.

In other words, Provide Value.
