Creating Facebook account name or business

Hi

I don't use Facebook at all, pretty much don't have the time to do so with all the other items I focus on

But I think I need to do so very reluctantly

I'm wondering if I am allowed to create a Facebook account based on my business, I do have a regular account under my name but I really don't want to work from it

I've used the search function here could not find much about this and reluctant to login into my account till I'm ready
looking for outside opinions then the research based on what the Pro's here have to say

In general I think it's a waste of my personal time but for business reasons I can see it may help me in this respect

If I must use my existing account how do I go about using it for business and exclude everyone else trying to contact me for non business reasons, I'm not a social bug but I see people wasting hours and hours being so and don't care to participate

For family I'm happy to contact them on the phone or face to face and not by Facebook

    Hey Ed, I've read everything and i hope that I'm understand it right. So you want to create your business entity on Facebook and want to separate that from daily life as much as possible.

    I'm not quite sure that does Facebook allow businesses to have their accounts or not, but usually all the business pages are run by an individual or fews, so by "create business page" on Facebook that would "completely separate" everything from your personal profile.

    You will have option to choose to "work under pages," so that you're completely work under your business name, and no one can't know who're running it.
