Facebook Ads - minimum requirements for Fan Page

Hi,

For creating a Facebook Ad which shall appear in News Feeds it is required to have a Fan Page. But... I really don't need a fan page for my business, so I just set it up with as little information as possible (clicked "skip" whenever possible).

Then I started creating my Ad, but I can't connect my Fan Page as sender to my ad - rather it still asks me to "Create a Facebook Page"! So it seems that what I had created as Fan Page is not yet ready/accepted as Fan Page.

For example it has no Facebook web address yet (just the Facebook Page ID in the address). I don't know... is this a MUST? (When I try to specify a web address I get the message "If you have a mobile phone that can receive SMS messages, you can Verify via mobile phone. If not, please try to register your username at a later time." I don't use a mobile phone.)

"Complete Page Info" says "0% COMPLETE". Hmmm...

So what are the minimum requirements? Pictures? Content? Information?

    Don't think there's anything like minimum requirement for your page, you can just select your niche, upload photos (Only if you want to) and there you go..

    I really think, if you really serious about using FB Ads, you might consider to setup a fan page properly.

    Unless you are trying a new niche.

    Regarding your question supposed it's fine and don't have any minimum requirements before running an FB ads.

      Thanks for the answers.

      It works! Don't know exactly why, maybe it had to do with refreshing by logging in again via FB Business Manager...

      I just want to build a list with my ad. A Fan Page would be a distraction.

        You have to have an entity that represents your ads (AKA a fan page). You can't just design an ad and throw it on Facebook. There has to be an entity delivering it.

          Yes of course, it's required, I just don't want an *active* fan page, at least not at the moment.

    Yes you are right. But providing content takes time that I don't have at the moment.
