Hey warriors,

I started promoting a product using Facebook ads. The product is in the IM/MMO & Self publishing niche.

The ads themselves got great engagement, started off using the CPC metric on ad sets and when an ad was achieving 2.2% CTR, 30 clicks and 18 clicks to website, with an audience of 10,000, I decided to change the metric to CTW (clicks to web), a.k.a oCPM. Mainly because I didn't want to pay for likes, shares and comments - though the clicks to web were decent.

The campaing objective has always stayed at Clicks To Web.

The oCPM metric started to gain traction and with an audience of 150,000 the ad achieve 14 clicks to web overnight.. though on another run this metric sucked up $30 in 15 minutes - 20 clicks was the result.

The ad leads to a squeeze page with a free offer and then takes the prospect to the main sales page. I want to do it right by capturing the email as it is likely people are not ready to buy immediately. Plus, building a relationship with customers is awesome...

... when you can get a list that is. The squeeze page has not been converting.. ok, 1 lead was the result and although there is a redirect to the sales page - no clicks are showing on the sales page of the promoted product...

So, there are no eyeballs and it seems that either the squeeze page is scaring people off, the ad is not written well enough (despite the engagement) or the audience is not targetted enough.

Have split tested numerous times and $100 has gone into the campaign so far. I did pause the ad a few times to make changes and am wondering if I should just schedule an end date, budget and let it fly..

What are your views on this? If you are experienced with facebook ads, would you consider lending a hand? It's my first campaign - naturally I thought I'd be making $ within the first week... newbie error?

Many thanks.

How simple is your squeeze page?

As a general rule I find the more simple the page the more it converts

It has a title, image underneath on the left and a two step optin overlay on the right.. Will go for a really classic & simple one as a test.
