    Hi Nathan,

There are a number of programs that can evaluate best times based on history of your followers. I personally use ManageFlitter which has a PowerPost page which schedules a post when most of your followers are active on Twitter.

    Hope that helps,
    Koolsteve

I use ManageFlitter and its powerpost feature is spot on. I can tell a difference in the traffic surge if I post something to social media outside the recommended power post time slot. Traffic surge is much higher if I post in the recommended time slot.

There is no "right" answer because it's largely dependent on your audience. For one of my pages, the best day/time (based on the metrics Facebook provides me) is Wednesday, between 7 and 8 PM. For another page, Tuesday & Thursday (9pm-10pm) are my best times when most of my fans are online.

You need to look at your page's metrics to determine the answer to your question.

Got to agree with this comment. It really is your audience that defines your best times to tweet. Typically, people tend to go on social media when they aren't too focussed on work but still interested in reading work-related content - during the morning and evening commute, lunch times, Friday afternoons, etc. Twitter and Facebook's own analytics tools, as well as Tweriod for Twitter are good tools for finding out when followers are online. I would also point you towards these two posts by Neil Patel and Buffer, which might be helpful:

The infographic at Neil Patel's Quick Sprout blog says it all. I also read somewhere on Quicksprout.com that the ideal character count for social media are as follow:

        } Twitter: 71-100 characters
        } Facebook: 40 characters
        } Googleplus: 60 characters

This is great to know especially if you're not sure what to write. This is a clear example of less is more

The best time of day to post on Facebook is debatable, with stats ranging from 1:00 p.m. to get the most shares, to 3:00 p.m. to get more clicks, to the broader suggestion of any time between 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m
When we look at the time of day, retweets have been shown to be highest around 5pm.For click-throughs, the best times seem to be around noon and 6pm.
For emails open rates increased after 12pm, and were highest between 2pm and 5pm.

Lately I have read an article about best time for posting. And the research found that the best time is from 8-10 a.m. when it's breakfast time.

    hey friend
According to me you must post your content on any social media site when most of your users and followers are online so that they can like and share your post and can increase the web traffic.

Totally morning (7-8am) or evening (5-6pm). Morning, because Facebook is like news media site, after getting out of bed, people go to Facebook to find out what's new. Evening, because when people come back home after work they do the same thing - they are hungry of news that they were not able to find out because of work.

Depends on the behavior of your target audience.

Usually, the social media "prime times" are lunch periods, middle afternoons (during breaks), early mornings and late evenings (before going to bed).
