If you are getting a very low CTR on [I]Facebook/I], maybe you need to let evolution work in your favor.

What do I mean by this?

Run different ads and look for patterns.

Which ads are producing the best results?

Once you have identified these ads, create variations.

Run the test again and figure out who the winners are.

Keep repeating this process until you find the variation that produces an almost predictable click through rate.

Keep in mind that click through rate at the end of the day does not really mean all that much.

What you should be focused on are conversions.

Conversions put dollars in your pocket.

Click through rates put a smile on your face.

      Try video ads.

Take inspiration from youtube videos. Even for your text+graphics ad. If you look at the thumbnails of some big gaming channel videos, you will get new idea about what type of pictures are likely to get clicks.

      And this-

What happens after the click should be your main focus. Getting above average CTR is not impossible. Don't get carried away by some other people showing you outrageous CTR, you don't need that.

  • Alot of times improving CTRs has to do with the images. Try split testing quite a few at a time to see what works. Time consuming and possibly more expensive but worth it.

I can see how an image can make a difference.

    Try to change 2 things:
    - target audience. Your current audience might be irrelevant.
    - text and design of your ads. It seems someone clicks on it because of eye catching pics you are using.
