Lots of REAL "likes" on your fan page is a license to print money if you know how to market because if you are giving your fans what they want, they are going to engage with your posts. When you have solid engagement, you are going to be rewarded with fantastic "reach", meaning Facebook is going to show your posts to more and more of your fans organically.

I run several smallish fan pages (< 2000 fans each) and each one generates several hundred visitors per day for its respective website.

Done right, you can stand up a website tomorrow, a matching Facebook page the next day, and a small "like" campaign the following day. On a budget of $10 per day, you can have a fan base of several hundred fans by next week and several thousand by the end of the month.

Give those fans what they want and you can be driving hundreds of visitors per day to your website within 30 days. For this reason, I'll take page "likes" every day.

So, with about $300, you have about 2000 Real Facebook likes.

Well, it's not quite THAT cut and dry. Niche, targeting, and creative all play a role. What I can say is that it's possible. I've run lots of campaigns that resulted in 400-500 US likes per week on a budget of just $4/day. Other campaigns came in at $0.10 - $0.20 per like.

It just requires lots of testing.
