Making Money using my Twitter Skills

Over the last year I've gotten very good at building Twitter followings using tools like Tweepi and scheduling tweets using Hootsuite.

Does anyone have any advice or guides on how I can package this skill and provide it as a service? Potential clients could be users in my industry (sports) or even local businesses.

Although I have no problem building followings, I'm not sure what I can provide outside of that. Is converting the customers up to the client? Or is this typically the job a social management agency as well?

Ask your followers if they want help. They all want to have more followers.

I don't think I'd have much of a problem getting this done, but I think I'd have a problem promoting an 'end game' to them. In other words having tons of followers is a good thing, but the people who are spending money want to see results. Is simply getting more followers enough? How could you prove a return on their investment?

What I've gathered about providing social services to local businesses it that Twitter is used more as a networking platform than anything else, a way for different businesses to connect with one another. What are the chances that a local bar may send out a tweet about a band that Saturday night, a follower actually sees the tweet, then decides to go? I don't know how likely that is to be successful in a small town.

Does anyone have any experience with this?

You could always sell tweet deck, or hootsuite access to people who want to grow followers by allowing them to being able to re tweet their content, for a daily, weekly, or monthly fee, or even offer services teaching them how to gain targeted followers.

Open question to anyone....Which platform do you think is most powerful when generating followers/leads with plans to convert a % to paying customers, Twitter or Instagram? How does FB rank?

berniciaro - I'm sure if you're familiar with tools such as Hootsuite and Tweepi you can pick up other similar social media platform tools easily....If you're trying to establish a service, it might be beneficial to apply your skills on other networks in addition to Twitter

Provide a Twitter management/marketing service just for the sake of building brand awareness and getting the company out there. Conversion is what everyone aims for but it's not realistic with the amount of time and effort most companies dedicate for Twitter marketing. You also can't expect to charge a lot of money for that.
