Using Facebook Video to Grow "Likes" on Fanpage...Thoughts?
I am working with some entertainers who want to build up their following on Facebook and doing a standard "Like this page if you love R&B music" doesn't seem like the best way to go, especially since the artists are still relatively unknown.
I was looking at possibly doing video to "introduce" the artists to potential fans and then encourage them to "like" the artist's fan page. I've seen this work great organically, but usually, the video is shared from a fan page with a wider audience.
On the flip side, I know by using video instead of a straight "like" campaign, I leave myself open for the Facebook user to just "like" the post, comment or share - all of which I will be charged.
Has anyone else ever done something similar to this? I read a couple of articles about some people using promoted posts to gain fans who first get the chance to interact with them, as opposed to just a "like" campaign where no engagement is necessary.
Thoughts?
