      Pinterest works best for me, I recommend it. Try following about 600 people (interested in your niche) every day (for example 300 in the morning and 300 in the evening). This way you will grow your followers pretty fast.

    social media marketing is all about engaging with potential customers/clients/supporters. Dont just follow them and then stop. If they follow back, reply to them and ask them something about what they're doing. Show interest in them. Show them you are more than someone just wanting to advertise to them. Believe me, you will build a significantly higher quality of followers.

    I have recently produced a guide on this, in order to do this, you need to be proficient in each of the main social platforms, start here on how to get started: Freelance Writers Social Media Guide

    You then need to brush up on the additional features to each platform, i.e. Twitter Ads, Facebook Adverts etc.

    If you want to start your career quickly, I would advise you to do this asap and then get to a point where you feel sufficient enough to approach organisations (use a little budget to play with adverts, it doest have to cost much at all).

    I would then consider an intern-ship. One step at a time my friend.

    There's no actual technique on how to do it since trends change and you have to be updated. It also depends on the business you're running, there are different methods for different niches. The only thing that's guaranteed to help you is to read a lot about social media in general, how it functions and what are pros and cones of different ones. Learning and expanding knowledge is really important if you're serious about what you're doing.
