Using Facebook Adds to Promote Clickbank Products?

Hello fellow users,

I am new to affiliate marketing and had the idea of running add campaigns on Facebook to sell clickbank products (paying Facebook on a per add click basis). Has anyone else tried this and do you know if this is a good strategy?

Thanks in advance for your insight.

Irregardless of whatever method you use , the majority of people don't BUY on their first visit .
So you may only get one purchase on 100 visits , maybe even less .
Personally I would set up a squeeze page and find a way of getting people through that very cheaply to start with .
Work out how many clicks it's costing you to get a sale .
If for every dollar you spend you make 10 dollars for instance then boom you are in business .
Scale it up and off you go .
I would actually argue if you break even you are actually in profit .
That may sound stupid but you have increased your list and recouped your money .
So if you keep marketing to them PROPERLY, not hammering them relentlessly , offer them value and build up trust then at some point in the future they may buy again.
Once they buy again you are now in profit with that customer .
Think long term , that's where the money is .

In a real world offline business , a restaurant for instance doesn't make their main money from one off clients . They make their money from their regulars .
Once you find a good customer look after them and you will be rewarded many times over

    Regards

    Peter

Thank you Peter. That is a good point I will have to figure out a way to make a squeeze for the clickbank product. Or I can just run adds for products that have free trials that way it would be a lot easier for customers to sign up.

I have seen many people use this method, but have a bit of trouble is you will not determine the specific object to run the ad, this may cost you money, but Ads to object without products, wish you luck

Not sure what you mean by object to run the add. Do you mean having a picture or video for the add? It is an exercise product so I am just using some free photos that facebook provides. The landing page is already made so if I can just get people to click on the add it should do most of the work.

Don't run ads directly to an affiliate product sales page --> facebook HATES this and will ban your account.

    Like webcashuk said,

You want to build an email list of subscribers because it takes on average 7-14 follow ups before someone will buy your product/service.

If you don't collect leads (using a capture page) then you won't give yourself the chance to follow up and you won't make those sales.

Your #1 asset as an online marketer is building your email list.
DO NOT wait to set this up. Everyday you don't have this in place -- you're missing out in a big way.

I use Aweber to collect, store and manage my leads. You should do a search on how to setup an email autoresponder before you take 1 more step.

If you promote affiliate products directly through facebook ads conversion rate will be lower. To get more conversion create a fan page with affiliate products info & promote this one with facebook ads. You can get more conversion by giving away a free affiliate product related report & add your affiliate link at the end of report

    • I don't use squeeze pages anymore, I've found that I get
better conversion rates by sending them to a bridge page
that pre-sells and pre-qualifies the traffic using native ads.

If you want to direct link, you gotta make sure the page you
are sending traffic to has a good web of trust rating, so either
grey - which is neutral - or green - which is good - yellow and red
are a no-no. And of course, use something like pretty links to mask
the clickbank hoplink that FB doesn't like because it comes with a
yellow web of trust rank. i.e. venusfactor.com has a red web of trust
      raking.

Regarding the bridge page, it can be multiple things... An article,
a quiz, a survey, a listical, a video, etc. If it is an article/listical it gotta
follow a certain framework on how you structure it, it is not just writing
for the sake of it. Study some old school advertorial and you can see the
      pattern.

A quiz/survey gotta follow a certain framework too, it
is not just about asking questions, you gotta ask the right
questions... Questions that hit their pain angles to a point where
they agree with you and want to discover how to solve them, and,
like everything, you gotta know your market.

FYI running free trials on FB is not a wonderful thing as you may think
      - unless you go blackhat - if you want to stay compliant, here's the fine
      print from their rules:

Subscription services: Ads for subscription services, or that promote products
or services that include negative options, automatic renewal, free-to-pay
conversion billing products, or mobile marketing are subject to our subscription
      services requirements found here.
