Would you recommend "Boosting" someone else's YT Video

Would you recommend "Boosting" someone else's YT Video to get more likes to your page or my followers to your twitter?

Just curious.. Technically your promoting your own Facebook page, twitter following as well as their content or youtube.

Has anyone had experience with this?

Thanks!

Generally, No. I wouldn't say "Never" but I could think of ways you could use that content while promoting yourself more directly and not sending them traffic. I guess I'm not really clear on how Boosting someone else's YT on Facebook would grow your own twitter. Are you linking to their video in a post and then linking to your twitter in the description?

      Thanks John,

I guess a good example would be:

I run a site and channel having to do with dog training. My facebook page hasnt been getting that many likes but I do have a following. Occasionally, I'll post videos, not of my own, that are very helpful in the same niche. I go to YT, cut and paste the link and post while saying "check this out" basically. I post to my page, my "likers" see it on their feed and they tend can then share it to their friends as something cool.

When they share it to their friends it shows "Jane Doe shared Dog Trainers Cleveland's Post" relaying them back to my page if they choose to checkout more.

      Does that make sense?

Then boosting it would just be that same scenario x 10 or x 100.

Sure, that makes sense. There are a lot of experts/"experts" who will say to never do that. As I said, I would never say... never- because you can use that to get more Likes and interactions on your page. I would probably do a small test and see what you would actually get out of it. You could also post the video to your site or blog and share the post from your own site to the Facebook page. It depends. I have some niches Facebook seems to hate showing any shared posts from and others where something like that shared will get far more initial reach than the same content on my own post.
