Where do you get content for your Facebook page?

In checking out other people's facebook pages, I see that a lot of people update their pages daily with new posts. Some people even add like 4 posts a day. I just wonder where and how people find that much content without spending a lot of time looking for it.

One thing that appeals to me about Facebook is that you can post other people's content from around the web, which means less work having to come up with your own content. But, where do you get your content for your facebook page?

Do you use some kind of content curation software? Do you go to Google and search the news for different keywords? What do YOU do?

Curate content, put your keywords into a feed and then use your favourite feed reader. You can get a lot of curation software, I use a free one called Expresscurate as my blog is in Wordpress and it also has a Chrome log in so if I see an interesting piece I can curate directly from that site.

Just make sure when you post some content on your Facebook page that it's relevant. You may find a way to put the content faster and more often but what's the point in putting it then? It takes time to update social media.

I like Feedly, where I can add my favourite blogs and then share new posts with my followers. I also read news sites, where I can get content too.

I still follow the old fashion of google alerts, I subscribe to some major blogs, and once I receive any breaking news I used to share it on my blog and then share in to my followers on Facebook!!
Also, I keep an eye to watch competitor's pages and how do they perform to improve my posts.

What is a feed reader, is that just the curation software you use?

Is there something like that for firefox?

So Feedly will keep you up dated to new posts from your favorite blogs. That's cool.

I also read news sites, where I can get content too.
Do you use popular news sites, or are there like niche specific news site?

I watched a few videos about Google alerts. I really like this one. Doesn't get any easier than having new related content delivered to your inbox daily by Google.

I subscribe to some major blogs, and once I receive any breaking news I used to share it on my blog and then share in to my followers on Facebook!!
Do you post it on your blog exactly the same way as you do on Facebook, or do you present it differently?

I work updating clients' social media feeds for most of my day. It's best to mix up the content you are going to post, especially if you are a business/product page. Try to alternate posts that are educational (related artcles, quotes, did you knows?) and promotional posts. Make things interactive so your followers are more likely to join in on the conversation.

As far as researching for related articles, it's all about the keywords, and then add in the year for good measure, so you can be sure that what you're sharing is not only relevant, but also current.

When you try to post make sure your post is relevant to your fan page. Some times you can post funny stuff.

Yeah this is the way to go. I sit down and make maybe 5-10 posts up in a afternoon and spread them out thought the week.
