How to not get banned on Facebook (ads)

I've tried a Facebook ads account and so have a couple of my associates (and our wider circle), but it seems Facebook shuts down the ads pretty commonly. Sometimes even with new ads accounts they shut them down before the ads even start! They ask for ID, but even when you send them ID they don't turn the ads on. Not sure what Facebook is doing here. We're all just bloggers mostly. Some of us sell things like T shirts, jewelry, books, etc., online.

Does anyone have like a guide -- or guidelines -- about how to not get banned from Facebook at the various stages of setting up an ads account and making more ads / higher budgets? Like I think they only allow you to spend a certain amount, and only to increase a certain amount per day (maybe it's money per day, maybe new ads per day?), but the details of this I have no idea.

Does anyone have some details for this? I'd like to be able to do more with Facebook, but getting ads shut off as soon as you start makes it seem less worth it.

Thanks

Well, what i've heard from my mentor and other high level affiliates - first of all you have start low don't try to spend hundreds of dollars in the first week, have a aged FB account .. and do only white hat stuff in the beginning. Also if you have some of your ads disapproved then just forget about it, don't try to create another ad with the same landing page. Business accounts have way less chances of getting banned.

Facebook tends to change their terms without notifying advertisers, then they shut down the advertisers for not following their terms.

Hi Kamikaza, thanks for offering the advice.

We're pretty far beyond that though. I understand the general ideas about how to create and what no to do, but it seems these are not enough for me or my friends. Facebook must have some algorhythm and it should allow (it seems to stand to reason) a certain spend amount / increase per day / period of time). And it must look for things on the accounts in order to let them create ad accounts / ban them outright.

I understand the general ideas pretty well, but looking for more specifics

This is really hard to respond to without seeing the ad.

There are some things FB simply will not allow, I'd have to suggest (if you have not already) that you look at their guidelines and community standards and see if you're in violation of any of those terms.

I'll assume you have done this and that you feel you are not however. In which case do you have images which FB might consider unacceptable based on their TOS? Do you have words in your ad images which go over %20 of the over-all image size? They have a tool that you can use to check this btw.

Are you promoting a URL which perhaps FB has blacklisted, though this could sometimes cause an issue, it sometimes will result in the URL being un-blocked if the website is deemed "safe for users" you can check this by simply trying to post the link in a normal FB wall post and it'll tell you that the URL is unsafe or w/e... if it is you'll have to find out why and fix it then resubmit.

I would recommend trying to promote a different blog/website on a different domain just to see what happens. You can run a small test add and pause it once it starts getting traffic so you won't break the bank (assuming you don't mind spending a few bucks to test this) or if you get any luck try contacting their support team, though you may not get a reply.

If all else fails... go into the official forum and raise a bit of a stink about this, just know that you may or may not get noticed by a mod which would then possibly get responded to by someone more official. It's more a last resort thing but it sometimes works... also know that there is the off chance your account will just be shut down if you're more hassle than you're worth in FB's eyes. I know this sounds strange but I've heard horror stories. All this considered, I wish you luck!

Well, precisely what we have read coming from my personal mentor and also other active internet marketers - firstly you could have start off reduced do not try and invest hundreds of money inside primary few days, use a old ZYNGA account.. and carry out merely bright head wear products at first. Additionally if you have several of the advertising disapproved and then just forget about the idea, do not try and build another advertising with the exact same landing page. Small business company accounts get approach fewer chances of acquiring banned.

Facebook now is an abundant market for advertisement of many individuals and organizations. However, you need to make the best advertisement campaign for a long and sustainable way not only current but also future. Do not be too hurried at the beginning and be patient if your ads are not approved by facebook. Remember to read carefully policy and terms for ads of facebook not to face with undesirable situations and get on-time payment like regulations to maintain your ads without being banned.
