FB Page With 16,000 Likes...Now What?
I've got a Facebook page with 16,000 likes that I don't know what to do with anymore. Here's the story:
A little over a year ago I spun up a women's niche blog where I was curating content from other websites. Monetized with Adsense and some CPA offers. I created a Facebook fan page to drive traffic and every time I curated a post on my blog I also posted it on my FB page. I was posting 3 or 4 posts a day. (all automated, posts scheduled a week in advance)
I bought likes from FB plus paid to boost posts in order to get likes. After a month I had over 5,000 likes and was generating over $900 in Adsense revenue. !!!! (paying for likes and boosting posts ran me about $400). I was getting a ton of organic likes from women sharing posts and things were scaling upward fast.
Then in the Fall of last year Facebook made their algorithm change and post reach went in the toilet. My posts were reaching only a couple hundred people. Adsense revenue tanked.
I paid to boost posts in order to reach more people but barely broke even. I continued posting to my blog and FB page for several more months but quit about 6 months ago.
So, here I am with 16,000 likes and I'm out of ideas. Any suggestions?
Oh, one thing I failed to do was capture email addresses from women visiting my site. I probably should have done that.
