YouTube can be a great way for money making. Because youtube usually pays $1 for every 1000 views. So how you think about it? It can be a great way right?

    I think you can get more than a $1 for 1000 views. Regardless, it can be good, you just need to have great videos, preferably something that can go viral.

      There are a lot of people TRYING to make money with youtube, but only a small percent ACTUALLY make a lot of money from youtube....there are a lot of ways to profit from youtube videos such as in video ads, crowd funding etc etc.

            Youtube is to BRING TRAFFIC to your OFFER. Youtube is good to deliver VALUE so people TRUST you and redirect them to your website so they can enter your sales funnel and this is where you'll make the money.

            Think of Youtube as your front-end. The money is made on the back-end though....Whether it is your website where you sell your services or products, or whether your video is about a product and then during your video you put a link where people can buy the product and you make an affiliate sale. People that use Youtube to make money with Ads are doing it wrong.

              This is a great point. YouTube is only best when you use it to create traffic for your offer. The people who really make it happen are doing this. Use YouTube to build your list so that your list is the one that will be responsible for building relationships and creating sales.

              If you market the right way, YouTube can be a power-house. This is actually one of my top sources of traffic. It's super high quality and it honestly does not take too much work to build which is awesome. Starting out is just hardest part. But once you've got a good amount of high quality content, it's pretty much auto-pilot.

              The key with YouTube is to know the rules, what gets your content or your channel whacked, know how to find keywords and SEO optimize your videos, how to get viewers to your capture page so they could get into your list and how to get quality backlinks so your rankings would get boosted.

              This is pretty much the easiest method and the most proven one.

                I do see youtube dominating Google search results for certain products (including IM products), but I wonder how many people who view the video bother to click the link in the description box or jot down a link shown in the video because the clickable links that youtube lets you create as an overlay are not very attractive.

                  Yes, Google prioritizes YouTube on search results simply because they own it. Traffic is going to them. How many people click the link in the description box depends on how the presentation or video is delivered plus the audience you're targeting. If you do the video well, you can get as high as 50% click through rate which is how much my mentor gets.

                  The technique with YouTube is to deliver enough info but not all of it. All of the info must be revealed once opted-in. You need to get the viewers out of YouTube asap and onto your optin page. So 2-3 min vids work best here. It's great traffic. Way easier to rank compared to blogs.

                    The latter is much harder in 2016, you really need to be original. Something that nobody else is offering.

                      I guess it helps to be good looking but I have to disagree about having to have original content for the sole reason that I see many videos that have views into the millions that are nothing more than basic curation videos.

                      For instance, I was watching some Mike Tyson fights this afternoon and came across a video that had over 6 million views and all it was was knockout footage from a bunch of different fights. There was no original content in there at all.

                      I've also seen videos that were nothing more than a bunch of pics that were put together with Windows Movie Maker and they had views into the hundreds of thousands. I don't think it's originality as much as it's simply putting together things that people like to watch.

                      I agree completely with people who use YT simply to drive traffic back to their own sites. I definitely think that's the best way to make money and build your business with YT. I always link out to a blog post that is related to the video I make. In other words, what I'll do is create a video and put maybe 25% of the content into the video and then I'll ask people to click through to my blog to "continue reading about (topic here)."

                      Once they get to my blog I have 2 opt-in forms (one in the sidebar and one at the bottom of the blog post), plus one that fires when they go to leave. That one actually converts the best for me. I do have to say that leads that come in from YouTube are amongst the best on my list.

    Earning money from ad revenue is very hard these days due to the competition. It is only the very popular YouTuber's who have a very large subscriber base and get consistent views who make a lot of money.

    You can still make money from YouTube by using it as a marketing platform.

    However, making it big as a video creator is not an easy task.

    It's great if it can deliver tons of targeted traffic to your website. I think that's what it should be used for from a business standpoint. And especially if you're in a small niche that is ripe with prospects. And it sounds easier than the $1/1000 hits route.
