How to add text to video for Facebook, like they do in the viral videos?

Hi,

You can download a free video editing software such as Youtube Movie Maker.

It is free so you are limited to 5 minute videos but that is usually way long enough.

It is user-friendly but may take a couple of minutes to figure everything out.

I'm not sure what the OP is asking, but both of you are completely wrong if its what I'm thinking.

Are you talking about annotations? The white text on black background that's clickable and opens up a new link?

If you are talking about that, its done Through Youtube itself by the Video Uploader and you need to upload a video and create that part in Youtube yourself.

That's what I figured. It's a Youtube-specific feature. FB videos don't have that capability....yet.

I make quite a bit of these types of videos to promote my 9gag clone on FaceBook. Camtasia works wonders and is very noobie friendly.

Generally, the text for video is added in post-editing. You may consider downloading the video from Facebook in advance, and then add text to it. Actually, Windows Movie Maker supports the function to add text to video. Also, it allows you to customize the font, color and size for the text. I read a guide that introduces some methods to insert text to video. May be it would be helpful to you.
