Help me use Instagram to market my business

I offer day tours and hiking tours in a beautiful island and I keep hearing that Instagram is great for this type of business.

I have good pictures in my website and I can definitely produce more for Instagram and tag them to the locations and attractions I visit.

How does this convert into new customers?

Simply waiting for people to find my pictures when they search for tag, then go to my website and buy a tour from me?

Is there anything else I need to do or understand?

    Beautiful Island sounds like a vacation paradise and those type of photos are very popular on Instagram. There are success quote and luxury and travel accounts on Instagram. In fact there are a lot of them. You can pay them for shoutouts where you promote your account and have a link to your site in the bio and actively get people to your site instead of waiting for someone to type in your hashtag. But keep using hashtags as they help a lot.

    You can also set up your Instagram account with Instagress and with a new feature they have added you can follow all the followers of these type of accounts and get people to follow your account who may be interested in your tours. I would say especially with the luxury accounts and even travel accounts and this will drive targeted traffic to your Instagram account bio link so they can go to your site and business and hopefully convert them into customers.

    You can offer a freebie in your bio, get people to subscribe to your list. Then, follow up with them via emails to further promote your services. That's about how to get customers using Instagram.

    Not sure how many followers you currently have, but keep posting images regularly, use related tags (not just tags that have lots of traffic), post images about your freebie and tell people to check it out in the bio, share valuable contents helping your target market, answer their questions you know they have through your images and description, anything to give value to your target market.

    The value content you share on Instagram should be able to attract your target market to follow you and see more of what you have. If you deliver much value, they'll want to stick with you and find out what else you have.

    People use accounts for all kinds of things. Self advertising with what you want should be simple because the pictures you share will be interesting and well liked by outdoor lovers. Tagging is enough to get likes and such on there. It takes awhile to gain any traffic or profit though so be patient.
